Swatch: OPI Pirates Of The Caribbean Minis

OMG, it's been so long since my last post. Sigh. I apologize for putting this blog on the back burner. I really am trying to manage my time better. Slowly but surely, I am getting back on my nail grind. I'm actually in the process of starting another project for my blog, so stay tuned for that.

Now, I know the Pirates of the Caribbean Collection came out a while back, but I was never really interested in getting any from the collection (other than the Silver Shatter). After seeing swatches everywhere on the web, I decided I really wanted it. haha. So I only got the mini pack instead of all the full bottles (just in case I changed my mind lol). Now, to start off, I have to say, I really hate mini bottles of polish. The brush is so small that it cramps up my hand lol. And the mini bottles have the regular thin brush which means I had to keep going over my nails to get an even coat.

OPI Skull & Glossbones

OPI Skull & Glossbones is a light gray cement color. This is two coats shown here.

OPI Planks A Lot

If purple and lilac mixed together, I think you would get OPI Planks A Lot. I really like this kind of purple. I don't know why. lol. This is also two coats.

OPI Sparrow Me The Drama

Sparrow Me The Drama is a pink, it looks so good to eat. 2-3 coats shown here.

OPI Stranger Tides

OPI Stranger Tides is a grayish green. I honestly wanted this mini pack because of this color. I like having unique colors in my collection, and this entire collection is unique to me. All the colors in the Pirates collection look muted and not completely bright or eye catching. However, do you remember my post on the Sinful Colors Adventure Island Collection? They had some pretty similar colors to the OPI Pirates Collection. I have one comparison and that's OPI Stranger Tides vs. Sinful Colors Seaweed. I wish I had OPI Mermaid's Tears because I have Sinful Colors Open Seas that looks similar to it (but can't do a comparison so...).

OPI Stranger Tides vs. Sinful Colors Seaweed

These two colors are pretty much dupes to me. The only difference is that Sinful Colors Seaweed is slightly darker. In person, you really can't tell the difference at all. So OPI retails at $8.50, and Sinful Colors retails at $1.99. If you don't want to splurge, then I say go for the Sinful Colors Adventure Island Collection if you can still find it.

Thanks for looking <3
